Sorry

May 17, 2009

Sorry that I haven’t been updating this with any tutorials or anything. I haven’t forgotten about AAA, I’ve just had a lot going on recently and I haven’t had the time or willpower to write another tutorial. But keep your eye out, I’m gonna write some when I get time.

Create A Trancey Supersaw With Image-Line’s Sytrus

April 17, 2009

This tutorial is going to show you how to make a supersaw that sounds like this.

1. Open up a Sytrus channel on the default patch and set the waveform shape to a saw for OP 1, OP 2 and OP 3.

Set the OUT in the matrix as about 60% for OP 1, OP 2 and OP 3.

3. By clicking and dragging the digit you want to change, set the freq ratio to: 1.0000x for OP 1; 1.9900x for OP 2 and 2.0100x for OP 3.

4. Set the FX on the matrix to 100% for OP 1, OP 2 and OP 3.

5. Select the MAIN tab and find the unison bit in the top right corner. Set it’s settings roughly like this.

6. Alter the attack in any way you like and add any effects like reverb or chorus and you have your own supersaw! Now go be the next big trance act!

Create a nice pad with FL Studio’s 3xOsc

April 16, 2009

1. Go ahead and open up a new 3xOsc channel and make sure it is on mixer channel 1.

2. Set the 1st oscillator to triangle, the 2nd to square and the 3rd to noise. Turn the 3rd oscillators volume down a little.

3. Set the stereo detune for the first two oscillators roughly like this.

4. Go into the INS tab and make sure volume is selected. Put the HOLD up as far as it will go and set the REL to a 12 o’clock position. Set the MOD X to a 2 o’clock position.

5. Now go into the mixer and select these effects in the same order as the picture. Keep them all on their default preset except Reeverb 2, which should be on the ‘Cathedral’ preset, and the Soundgoodizer, which should have it’s settings set like the picture.

Congratulations, you just made a nice, warm pad! It should sound something like this.

Here is the .flp.

Welcome

April 16, 2009

Hello and welcome to AllAboutAudio! There is probably little or nothing here at the moment but I will be adding tutorials to do with mostly FL Studio.

If anybody would like to submit a tutorial, email it to considerably-large-mammal@hotmail.co.uk and I will get back to you ASAP.

Enjoy! Or don’t, seeing as there’s nothing here right now.
